We have noticed that two new types of business have started to use virtual offices and are working from home, the first type are cost reduction consultants, and secondly debt management companies.

Both of these company types are probably being encouraged by the global slowdown. The cost reduction consultant basically visits a company, takes copies of all of their service and utility bills, and then goes off and gets better deals for their clients. Typically they achieve cost savings of between 17% and 28% for their client, and their cost for this is 50% of the savings for the first year. It is clearly a win-win situation.

The debt management company wears two different hats, it collects outstanding monies from overdue clients, and it also helps people who are in debt to reach agreements with their creditors. They make their money in both cases from the people who are owed the outstanding sums, so for people with debt issues they are encouraged to use the service as a successful outcome does not cost them anything more than they currently owe.

My company used one of the Targetspace serviced offices at St Mary Axe to give off the right impression to a client and can honestly highly recommend them - very professional and did the job for me as we sealed the contract at the meeting!

These offices are perfect for SME's and start-up's on a budget. I hope they keep running as I intend to use them in the future.
